In a village hidden away in the mountains a terrible incident occurs, however the one to stop it is far from appreciated by the villagers. Cast away by the village, the boy is taken in by a temple in the capital. The constant breaking of rules troubles the other monks and they put more surveillance on the boy. While napping on a large rock, Shuten-Dōji is suddenly awoken by a little boy who claims that the rock belongs to him. This marks the start of their friendship.
