The fully revised version of Chapter 1. Upon a Star is a character-driven fantasy story set in a fictional universe shaped by quiet mystery and adventure. The cast discovers different planets and their ancient relic spirits - immortal beings that grant powers through binding pacts. I created this story in reminiscence of the gentle and uplifting magical girl stories of the ’90s and early 2000s. I’ve finally spent the time to rework this chapter with attention to detail and chose to keep the first chapter very slow-paced & lighthearted. I hope you enjoy it! In this universe, humanity is technologically advanced and capable of traveling through space. Since the arrival on planet Thetys, humanity faced extreme problems to survive and to build a civilization on this new planet. Natural disasters seem to occur often, stopping any progress in building an infrastructure outside of the capital city. In the Serpentine Galaxy, other planets are known to be inhabited by alien species. Folklore about the life as a space traveler, the inhabitants of other planets and the secrets of this universe is popular on Thetys.
