Temper finds himself in charge of three mysterious kids, all while trying to protect the city from dangerous creatures known as Shadows. They have an appetite for humans, and can only be seen by Sightbearers. Sightbearers have extraordinary abilities, and strange markings given by the Goddess-The Allmother. The group must figure out why Shadows are invading, where they come from, and who or what they're looking for.
