Amongst the backdrop of a turbulent world, filled with bestial clans, capable magic users, and a hegemonic human empire, lies a quiet free city, where all are permitted to live in peace.
Within this city, a young boy named Isamu is drawing closer to evolving into his gift. Although he should be filled with joy, he struggles with being the last of his friends yet to awaken. After all, every bestial of his kind evolves before their 15th birthday, and his is but days away.
As if this was not enough, an ominous creature has been haunting him nightly, tormenting, terrifying and toying with him, as if a plaything, before ultimately devouring him every time!
Could all of this be a simple side effect of his body evolving, or are these horrors alluding to something much worse to come?
