The story takes place in an alternate version of Earth in the year 2024, where the world has been ravaged by strange and grotesque monsters known as "Dissonants." These monsters are the result of an ancient, mysterious power known as "Harmonics", a force that can manipulate sound and vibrations in reality. Some people, known as Maestros, have gained the ability to control Harmonics, using them as weapons.
