In a distant world high in the heavens, in another universe, live vampires who have traditions they maintain throughout their journey. One of their strangest traditions is that a woman transforms into an old woman and goes to live on Earth among humans until she finds a girl. A suitable occasion for her son, she brings it with her and returns to the world of vampires. This is so that the girl can give birth to an heir bearing a blue mark, and then she dies immediately after giving birth. If the child is born bearing a blue mark, the family becomes Ruler of the vampire world, the blue-marked child is born once every century. Will one of the vampires be lucky enough to be born?
