Nakba is the story of Masked,
a storyteller born during a war—
a person who knows firsthand the pain
of losing one’s land and home.
Such a person can deeply understand
the horrors that Palestinians have faced
for many years. This is story is
told in a cartoon form, (zionists are the rats,
and the palestinians are rabbits)
After conducting
extensive research and interviews,
I felt compelled to share some of
the stories I encountered through this work.
While Nakba holds countless stories
of loss, resilience, and suffering,
I chose to tell only a few of them.
Even after the guns fall silent,
it is never easy to return to a normal life.
Healing is possible, and things may get better
with time, but the scars of war remain.
Children born into conflict carry a weight
that sets them apart—they grow up shaped
by the violence surrounding them.
This story is based on the unimaginable
cruelties happening right now.
