Kurai lives in a country devastated by the corrupteds, dangerous creatures that are born from living being's traumas. She works as a furtive depurator, collecting and selling corrupted cores for very little money to survive and try to get a happy life with her cat Crispin, although she carries with the burden of being hated by a society which will complicate things for her until the last of her days.
