Convinced that it is possible to live in a perfect world, 23-year-old Anna seeks to find and eliminate the evil that took her father away when she was a child, turning her once-happy life into an obsession with revenge. After graduating with a degree in journalism, Anna sets off on her first mission against a corrupt system and its henchmen, the "worm-men." In a war where the line between right and wrong blurs, Anna will discover that in fighting society's rot, one often risks becoming a part of it.
The story takes place across the Islands—lands that differ in lifestyle and function (agricultural, military, ancient, modern, etc.)—which can only be entered with a visa or permit through a customs portal. Weapons are summoned by pressing a special device embedded under the skin.
