In this world, Nemesis are manifestations of human sins, regrets, and negative thoughts left behind after death. When a person dies filled with hatred, envy, despair, or guilt, those emotions refuse to fade. Instead, they take form as monstrous entities.
Nemesis are invisible to ordinary humans. They exist within a parallel dimension known as the Spiritual World, a mirror of the real world created from collective human emotions. However, strong Nemesis can tear through the barrier between worlds, causing natural disasters or violent phenomena in reality : earthquakes, glass shattering, sudden bursts of fear.
They feed on negative energy : hatred, anger, sadness and grow stronger with every human emotion they consume. Some attempt to possess humans, whispering into their minds, promising power in exchange for a piece of their soul.
Those who stand against them are called Purifiers : people capable of channeling positive energy, memories, and hope to counter the darkness.
But not all who fight darkness remain pure…
