Long ago, a small village plagued by famine struck a pact with a goddess, promising abundant harvests in exchange for regular offerings. However, villagers mysteriously disappear before each ceremony. Elie, a young farmer, uncovers the horrifying truth: the village secretly sacrifices human lives to a monstrous creature, said to be the benevolent goddess. Along with his friend Silvain, Elie rescues the next intended victim and traps the creature behind a barrier of fire—an entrance to the village, which has been guarded ever since by their descendants, ensuring the monster can never escape.
