After being born in the Beyond, Aether is secretly brought to the mortal world and raised beneath the ruins of the fallen 12th Kingdom. Queen Selene adopts him alongside Cael, raising them as brothers. The boys grow up unaware of Aether’s true origin while the mysteries surrounding the destroyed kingdom remain buried.
