In a fantastic world where archaeology is reprehensible, Tilo, a young self-proclaimed archaeologist, is looking for adventure. In the town of Maucienne, he meets Kaffè, a waitress in the tavern where he eats, and convinces her to come explore the ruins of Clunavos with him the next day. After a fierce fight against a band of thieves who were hunting Tilo - the latter having stolen a map from them - our two protagonists make a discovery that upsets the order of things and their vision of the world.
