Susan Briar is a normal office worker from the year 1999. She's 23 years old, and works a graphic design job at the MultiTech Software Company. Near midnight on New Years Eve, she's late to a party her co-workers threw to celebrate the turn of the millennium. Her vision gets worse and worse, struggling to concentrate on the road. Suddenly her car jumps into the air. She swerves out of control and hits a tree, launching her 30 years into the future.
