Play God - 30 April 2021 Did God create man, or did man create God? This story takes place in a single room, with two individuals, where the only source of information is spoken by one person trying to find an answer to the question, "What is life?" The title is inspired by a Sam Fender song of the same name. I wrote this story during the height of a depressive period when I had to come to terms with why I was even alive. I've never been religious, but during that time I was having these fever-like nightmares where I was having long conversations in my head with another version of myself that represented "God." The dialogue in this story is inspired by those conversations.
