At 26 Years Old, Mei Tanaka has never had a romantic relationship. Her busy career as graphic designer leaves little room for love, and her introverted nature means she often feels like an outsider in social situations. Her best friend, Aiko Yoshida, is everything Mei is not; outgoing, confident, and happily in relationship with her charming boyfriend, Ryuji.

In a moment pf misguided empathy, Aiko decides to help Mei break out of her shell and experience intimacy. She proposes an unconventional arrangement: Mei can spend the night with Ryuji to finally gain some experience. The idea is ne with shock and hesitation, but Mei ultimately agrees, seeing it as a chance to step out of her comfort zone.
