While it shows significant influence from existing works [in the genre], it's drawn with a solid structure. It would have been nice to see more of each character's depth before the story moved into the mission.

I enjoyed the well-built fantasy world. The Spike Knight character really comes through very well. The other characters are also shown effectively despite limited panels/pages. The art style has charm, but I'd like to see it develop further.

The artistic skill is high, shown through the movement in the action scenes, and the skillful use of spreads. The facial expressions also do a great job of conveying emotion. As for the story, it's disappointing that there's no sense of catharsis as it's hard thing after another for the two main characters.
